Spam User Registration

    New user registration on your site Jaw Promotions:
    Username: PiperSikes
    E-mail: tullybkcp@hotmail.com

    I am getting bombarded with this type of spam how can I stop it & what is it? If anyone can help I would be very grateful as I am new to this and obviously a target of some description

    Go to Dashboard > Settings > General and un-check “Anyone can register”, then just delete the user accounts you do not need anyone else having at your site. Unless you have other people you actually *want* to be making and editing pages and posts, there is no reason for anyone else to have an account at all…and having commenters and subscribers is an entirely separate matter.
