When I go to post a new blog post, I have to delete 20-30 “pending posts” that are not mine…needless to say this is a real pain. This is not comment spam, more like posting spam! akismet is running. They stretch back for many pages throughout my 100’s of posts. I also have Akismet running. Clearing them out one by one will take forever and not knowing why they are there is disturbing. Lots of spam posts showing up, but at least they were just in our queue as Pending, so nothing got posted. It ended up that subscribers somehow had access to all our posts (including editing, adding, deleting), rather than just being able to read posts. We didn’t have our User Capabilities plugin activated, so I activated it and then gave the subscribers the capability to only read posts and nothing else. We use [Capability Manger](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/capsman/) with WP version 3.2.1 and it seems to work fine.
