I am testing the spam module and not block anything

You’re going have to be more specific than this.
What exactly were the steps you performed?
Also what led you to believe that the feature doesn’t work?

Hello @ramonjosegn the spam security settings does work. I have tested this setting in WordPress 3.6.1, 3.7.1 and 3.8.

First you need to enable the settings. After you have set it up you will be notified when ever someone is spamming your website via the comments.

When you log back into your website admin panel. You will see some comments submitted. Mark all comments that you consider to be spam. Navigate to the plugin spam settings and you will see the IP address of the comments you marked as spam. This also depends on how you have configured your settings. Simply select that IP address and block it. Once that IP address has been block, when ever the IP address user decides to comment on your website they will be notified that they have been blocked.

The blocked IP address is added to your Blacklist Manager, which should be enabled for this to function correctly.

I hope the above helps you with understand how it works.

    Kind regards

OK, thanks then I am understanding, touch my blocking comments in the module spam, I tried other plugins as well and have not been effective because the spam bots change ips dynamically, but I go to reactive this module, block same spam manually and I can see some improvement, thank you very much
