• Hey guys!
    Happy new year!

I’m requesting your help because I have a problem – Like everyone here. Maybe I’m not the only one.

    So here it is.

Most of the comments that I get are strange.

The name isn’t the name of the poster
The mail is legit, it’s a real one
The website linked is related to porn
The comment is totally legit and about the article

So, I don’t get why the name and the link are totally made up.
I’m a 100% sure that they aren’t produced by the commenter but by a malware or something else.

If you have some ideas about my issue, I’d like to hear them.
If you want to view what it looks like, the link is just below!

    Thank you for your help,
    Yannick

  • That looks like a spammer. Use the Akismet Plugin to stop/filter the comments

    Thank’s for the fast answer!
However I don’t want to stop/filter these comments because they are all made of the same structure “pornsite”/”nameoftheauthor”.
So I manually edit them all to change the name of the author to the name in the mail.
    Is there another way?
I believe that there is something which fill the blanks in my comment section

Mark them as spam, it’s the only way Akismet can learn and improve.

The comment is totally legit and about the article

Maybe you have a different idea what what is “legit and about” means, but you are getting comment spam. I see these all the time, usually with a comment like “Great article, you have some fascinating ideas.” But they never refer to anything specific in the post. They are, by definition, spam.

Akismet will work wonders. I actually like WP-Spamshield better.
