Hi @huddle,
it would be great to see some of the spam. Can you help us and submit the spam in our Google form:
https://github.com/pluginkollektiv/antispam-bee/wiki/en-FAQ#how-can-i-submit-undetected-spam
If you additionally post your settings, then I can maybe recommend some optimizations for you.
Thanks in advance!
All the best,
Torsten

Great, I just posted one. There are a handful like it with the same IP address and just two characters left as a comment.
Here are images the settings.

Hi @huddle
you have enabled the local spam database, but at the same time you have not set “Mark as spam, do not delete”.
You need to check this to build up your own spam database. Then ASB can check against those spam to filter spam.
To avoid spamming your own database you can delete spam after some months (e.g. 120 days – change it to your own needs).
This should help you.
To avoid false positives I would recommend to uncheck the IP address check (we have problems with IPv6 and with load balancers with this feature and it will be removed in the next version).
About your provided spam. We couldn’t add this for everyone, but in this (German) post you can find a custom pattern to mark every comment with just two letters as spam:

Google Translate will help you to get the info hopefully 🙂
All the best,

Does it matter if I save the spam reason or not?
Does it matter if I save the spam reason or not?
No, but it is recommended, so that you can see which method is working best in your case.
All the best,
