Spam fight, anything better than Bee Antispam without third party service ?

    hello,

    I found this and it works well:

    IT’s the first time that I find a good plugin that doesn’t use any annoying third party service, but I am not wondering if more plugins as this one exist ?

    This one is great, easy to install and not annoying, but maybe there is even better that I don’t know ?

    People have different kinds of spam problems, requiring different solutions. And what may be “annoying” to you, may end up being a “lifesaver” to someone else.

    For instance, your holy grail of anti-spam solutions clearly states: “Antispam Bee works best with default WordPress comments. It does not help to protect form plugins and does not prevent spam registrations.” [emphasis mine] So if MY spam problem is spammy registrations or contact form spam, this plugin would be utterly useless to me no matter how appealing it may be.

    And for what it’s worth, I personally prefer to “outsource” ALL non-essential services (analytics, anti-spam, security, forms, etc) to these “annoying third party services” — so my web server can focus on serving content, instead of fighting spam.

    I guess each to his/her own 😀
