spam comment appears in place of my own

    This is strange. Using Wp 2.0.1, Spam Karma2.1 and the K2 template. Everything updated and clean.

    When I submit a comment, the one which appears just after is a spam comment (to another post!!). Yet though my comment doesn’t show immediately, it appears later. It’s happend now for the past few days.

    I only have SK2 running. I have other spam filters installed, such as Referer Bouncer, Tar Pit and WP spam assissin. But I have heard that SK2 is all you need for WP.

    I’ll try activating those other programs and see if it clears up.

    But if anyone has any idea what I’m talking about, and you found a solution, please let me know.

    I activated the other spam filters and increased the strength of SK2.1.

    Now when I write a comment, the comment which appears immediately is not spam, but another comment of mine from another post!!! Then when I reload the page, the real comment is right there.

    The disfunction of the comment feature still plagues me. Has anyone heard of “alien” and “ghost” comments showing in wp 2.0.1 right after a comment is written? The real comment shows later, but the false one shows right after the comment is approved, in the area above the comment box.

    I solved the problem. It was a conflict with Spam Karma 2 and the K2 theme code. There’s a fix to the comment-ajax.php in K2 listed here.

    Hope this helps if anyone else comes up with that problem.

    Sorry, we do not support K2 here. K2 is not only a theme, it’s a modification of WP – you could read this on the main page of the thing you are using. The official support site for this modification is here: http://binarybonsai.com/forums/
