 * I haven’t been able to log in for YEARS with word press anywhere. I’ve been using
   either tobynixon@yahoo or tobynixon@gmx and I am getting pretty angry that your
   company has accused me of being a spammer.
 * I have never sent an Unsolicited Advertisement for a Commercial Business in my
   life. And I’m 36 years old and I was on the phone system with a Commodore 64/
   128 over 20 years ago.
 * No, WordPress got several complaints that I was spamming, because I make picture
   memes and I am an outspoken liberal and Occultist. So if the company continues
   to Blacklist me I will make you prove that I am a spammer. Because I have been
   inhibited my civil rights in this matter to not be accused of things I haven’t
   done.
 * The system of reporting people never actually requires proof, just that someone
   hits the button and says that someone said… It’s just as easy to use the button
   to silence people whose opinion or way of life is offensive to you.
 * So what, you don’t like what I say. I’ve never been able to use WordPress and
   all you will tell me is that I am a spammer or you just completely withhold the
   reason entirely.
 * I want you to get your facts straight. Spam is about advertising, not that you
   don’t like someone.

 * Hi Toby,
 * Welcome to WordPress.org forums, these forums are for the WordPress.org software
   rather then the WordPress.com hosted service. You can find more information about
   the difference [http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/](http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/)

   Specifically, there is no company here, rather this is a volunteer led project
   and forums.
 * If you are struggling to login to a WordPress.com site, or have received spam
   complaints from them, then you need to contact them directly, there is nothing
   we can do and they don’t regularly these forums.
 * WordPress as a software doesn’t by default have the ability to accuse you of
   spamming, it does however come bundled with a piece of software called Akismet.
 * Akismet is created by a company called Automatic who also run WordPress.com and
   it has a mechanism to flag comments and other things as SPAM, this is normally
   automated process and can have false positives.
 * If Akismet might be the issue for you, you can find out information [http://akismet.com/](http://akismet.com/)
 * So to summarise,
    Really sorry to see you upset, I hope it can be resolved! WordPress.
   org support forums are specifically for the software, and as such we can’t really
   help you get unblocked by what ever service is blocking you or even help identify
   the service.
 * If it’s WordPress.com or Akismet related, you are best contacting them directly.
   Otherwise you will need to go directly to whoever/whatever has told you “WordPress”
   specifically has blocked you and ask for more information.
 * Hope you get it sorted though!

 * Did you set up an account on WordPress.COM here:
 * [https://akismet.com/plans/](https://akismet.com/plans/)
 * It’s free – just click on the plan on the left side – then follow the prompts
   to create an account on WordPress.COM – it’s not the same as here or your WordPress
   site – but it’s necessary to use Akismet since that’s run through WP.COM.

 * I’m going to guess that he is on the akismet black list. A centralized black
   list that makes things a pain in the arse if you happen to get on it, and sometimes
   can be extremely difficult to get off of it.
 * For real users. Spammers can get off of it just by changing their e-mail address–
   easy for them to do since there is no personal value to their address.
 * Akismet probably works to some degree but until it provides clear and detailed
   methods of blacklist removal with humans who review that process in a timely
   manner, it can cause major problems for legitimate users and has done so in the
   past.

 * Sadly not a lot we can do to help with Akismet logins, best of getting in touch
   with them directly. Going to close this thread as really nothing we can do and
   don’t want it to steer to far off topic
