    I am trying out different ways to show my posts and am trying to get this thumbnail to work like I want it to. If you look on the page you will see that there is quite some space between the thumbnails. How can I make the list of post more compressed? Shorter, but still with 5 posts showing? I want less white space between the thumbnails.

    Looking forward to your answer.

    Thank you!
    Marie

    You can achieve that easily in the backend’s Customizer, panel “Additional CSS”. Enter this code

    .rpwwt-widget ul li {
        margin-bottom: 0; /* use 4px, 5px or more instead of 0 to refine */
    }
    .rpwwt-widget ul li img {
        margin-bottom: 0; /* use 4px, 5px or more instead of 0 to refine */
    }

    In SiteOrigin remove – or at least comment out – this code:

    .recent-posts-widget-with-thumbnails .rpwwt-widget ul li {
        padding-top: 4px;
        padding-bottom: 8px;
    }

    That way you will get the tightest layout. To refine the spaces play around with the commented values.

    Hi Martin, many thanks for your answer. I have tried it, but it doesn’t work. Anything else I can try?

    If you talk to computers you have to be picky, exact and meticulous. Here: write values with an unit. Change “100” to “100px” and it works. Play around with the value from “1px” to what you like + “px”.

    Ah, computers! Thank you so much for your help! It worked 🙂
