I need to import matches for different leagues but the provided import option only allows selecting one league at a time. This can be time consuming when you have 10s of leagues. When importing using a different means, I realized the sp_team contains the home team and away team in this format 1212|4221. I added that into my CSV file but the teams won’t save properly. How I wish we had something like a Home Team field for the home team and away team field for the away team. I’ll give this a 5 star rating if this can be done. I’ll be more than grateful even as I consider a PRO version.

    Regards.

All I need is the Home Team and Away Team in separate columns not rows. Please let me know whether this is possible,

    My appreciation.

    Hi there!

We can’t change it, unfortunately. You need to use the format we have there.

This change could be good for your use case, but imagine when we have 10s of teams. SportsPress has no limits regarding the number of teams you can add, so adding tens of columns wouldn’t be feasible.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the input. But the limit I have right now for the default import is that you need to import to one league/tournament at a time. I commend you for the forward thinking and that’s the beauty of this plugin. But here is a concern, I am trying to import those tens of teams but my teams belong in different leagues. Maybe I didn’t put this well, I don’t really need a new column for the away team, I only need to import the teams so that 1234|3222 in my file imports to the home and away teams respectively. Everything else as regards the import works perfectly except for this bit. Kindly, please let me know if there’s a way forward. I like the plugin that’s for sure but I’m stuck here. Please

    Hi there!

    Thanks for your reply.

We just don’t have this option, unfortunately. We can only import to one league at a time, and teams need to be on different rows.

You need to hire a developer if this is a must-have feature for you. As it is right now, you need to change your file so it matches the required input format.

    Thanks!

The import plugin author has helped fix it. Thanks to you for the kind response!
