# “Source Code” view

 * I’m not sure when this took place, but the latest version of WP only has a WYSIWYG
   editor. Trying to change the View to “Source code” only displays the HTML in
   a window (and in one long run-on sentence) identical to “Source Code” under “
   Tools”.
 * The new editor broke my OL Ordered Lists so that every entry now starts with “
   1”. And since I can’t switch to “Source Code” view, I can’t (easily) see where/
   how to fix it.
 * I prefer to edit my pages in “source” view, NOT WYSIWYG.
 * Please FIX THIS ASAP. 🙁

 * Are you actually using an alpha or beta version? If not, please post in the main
   forums.
 * There is a choice in the 3 dot menu for Visual or Source editing. You can also
   use the Classic Editor plugin.

 * Please don’t post in the Alpha/Beta forum unless you’re actually testing the
   alpha/beta version of WordPress (not a plugin or a theme). Also, once WordPress
   has released a version, it’s not appropriate to post in alpha/beta and you should
   post in the Fixing WordPress forum:

 * Thx for the reply.
 * The editor changed with the last update and I didn’t notice the “Visual” & “Text”
   tabs on the upper right of the edit window. My goof. The last auto-update of
   WP massively reformatted my last post. I have no idea why. But there was absolutely
   no way to fix it from the “Visual” editor. It could only be fixed in code.
 * And even after editing the code, if you then switch back to the “Visual” editor
   to preview your changes (to an already published page), it FORGETS your changes
   and reloads the “published” page! 😮
 * Note though that while the “Source code” views in “Visual” let you type, any
   changes made in those windows are ignored. The only way to correct the page was
   to publish my changes sight unseen. What a pain.
 * Thanks.
 * PS: No, this is not an Alpha/Beta version of WP.
