# sorting – strange behavior

 * when I used the edit short code, and I set in the short code sort for ID:asc,
   in the result the column ID is sorted, but the last column is highlighted. In
   case I have more pages, the sorting is lost when I open the second page. If I
   sort by pressing the column headers, the sorting stays.
 * So sorting in the short code should set the column selection (highlighted). This
   is currently not the case, only result is filtered until table action is performed.

 * Certainly, as you said.
 * Sorry, sorting of in the current plugin does not have an ideal behavior.
    Sorting
   process is controlled in the UI side, but I just do not make to yet bug fixes
   like would have been reset after processing of Ajax. And I’m going to be fixed
   by refactoring of the UI at the next minor version up.
 * There is no excuse, but, please acknowledge.
