# sorting by category

 * hello,
 * I’m having trouble with the category sorting found on the documentation page.
 * There are 6 categories in total.
 * the sequence number of each category is different.
 * although it is like this, the ordering on the documentation page is not sorted
   by the numbers I have specified.
 * my purpose; I want the categories to be sorted according to the sequence number
   I have determined.
 * how can I do that?

 * I have checked your query. You need to select `Terms Order By = ID` from your**
   WordPress Dashboard -> BetterDocs -> Settings -> Layout -> Documentation Page-
   > Term Order By -> ID** now click on **Save Settings**. Please check this screencast

 * I tried this before, but my problem is the same. i have this problem only on 
   my main support page. sidebar area in a single document works without any problems.
 * on my main support page I use this shortcode:

 * I have checked your query. It seems you are using this shortcodes for BetterDocs
   Advanced Search. To using BetterDocs Category Grid, Please use this shortcode
   here – `[betterdocs_category_grid terms_orderby="ID"]`.

 * I have checked your screenshots. You have to set your Terms Order By ID. Right
