I host a genealogical society’s website. It has a lot of large TablePress tables. Recently, all the tables have lost the filter and sort options; additionally, the entire table is listed (11,000 rows in the case of the referenced table) rather than just 100 rows.

*I went to FAQ and followed the instructions. I didn’t see any of the listed Javascript errors. This is what it says under the Console Tab.
**This page uses the non standard property “zoom”. Consider using calc() in the relevant property values, or using “transform” along with “transform-origin: 0 0”. cemeteries
downloadable font: no supported format found (font-family: “Genericons” style:normal weight:400 stretch:100 src index:1) source: (end of source list)
Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/wp/wp-slimstat/tags/4.8.8.1/wp-slimstat.min.js”.

*Use DateTables is checked on the Edit Page.

*This problem exists with both Firefox and Chrome.
*My primary browser is Firefox, 80.0.1 (64-bit).

Thank you, most kindly, for your assistance.
    Lesa!

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Most likely, you are affected by the “jQuery Migrate is disabled by default” change in WP 5.5 that is explained at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-5-5-master-list/#post-13238244
A short-term fix might be to install the mentioned plugin from https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ on your site.
However, this is not a real fix to the error, which is raised in the “Nice Navigation” plugin. In more detail, some JavaScript file (it seems to be /wp-content/plugins/nice-navigation/script.js) should not be using the outdated jQuery “live()” function anymore, but its replacement “on()”. You could maybe try to contact the plugin support team and ask them to fix the plugin.

    Regards,
    Tobias

MANY THANKS. I simply disabled (then removed) the Nice Navigation plugin and that solved the problem. I wasn’t using Nice Navigation anyway. Thank you.

TablePress is invaluable on my website. Thank you for your work and support.
