@esmi at the begging you told me that i had to open a new post, now you tell me that closed this topic.

I don’t undersand anything but i hope that soon resolved this problem with the shortcodes.

    Thanks

I simply closed your earlier topic – not this one.

    @esmi sorry again

But the URL was for this post. So, i have to open again a post or only i have to wait.

    Thanks

The url was to point people towards this topic. Now you just need to wait for the Jetpack team to pick this topic up.

I am having the same issue after updating to WordPress 4.4.

Looks like URL and embed shortcodes still work, but the YouTube embed shortcode is not working. (Source)

Eager for the Jetpack update! 🙂

Thanks for the report. That’s indeed a conflict between WordPress 4.4 and Jetpack.

We’re working on a fix, and will include it in the next release. You can follow our progress here:
    https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/3121

If you can’t wait for the update, you have 2 work-arounds:

    • You can try applying this patch on your version of Jetpack.
    • You can edit the posts where you found the issue, and update your YouTube shortcodes from [youtube=http://something] to [youtube url=http.....] instead. The videos will work again once you use the newer shortcode format.

    I hope this helps.

@keeganslw It might be worth updating your blog post to mention the working alternative, that could help others! Thanks for the work you do warning others about the problem, by the way!

Awesome @jermey Herve! I have updated my post accordingly!

Thank you for providing these solutions!
