# Sort numeric folders

 * We have a list of ‘year folders’ we use to sort newsletters. The current listing
   is:
    2019 2011 2012 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2013 2020
 * With 2020 in the bottom.I can see in this forum that the sort order is a-z and
   0-9 ascending. So ‘200*’ ‘201*’ is lower that 2020. But why is 2019 and 2011 
   in top then?
 * Can I change this order so 2020 is in top and descending from there?

 * That’s strange, they should be sorted alphabetically. If you refresh the screen,
   does that make a difference? Are you using any sort of custom term ordering plugin(
   such as the Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order plugin) that could be impacting
   the order?
 * By the way, if you wanted to move 2020 to the top, you could use the above plugin
   to do that.
