Sort By option missing from Links Widget

    According to the links widget support page there should be a “Sort By” option in the links widget but I don’t have it.

    I am using a heavily modified version of the twentyten theme.

    Is the support page out of date or should I have access to that option? Is there a way to enable it that I am not aware of?

    That is for wordpress.com which is a hosted version of WordPress. These forums are for wordpress.org which is the software that runs the wordpress.com infrastructure.

    If you installed your own WP installation this feature isn’t provided through the standalone install. You could search the plugin directory though http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ to see if there is a plugin that does offer the sort by option.
