Descriptions not showing up

    I have tested this on three different and unrelated installs (4.9.13, 5.2.5 and 5.2.3), and all show the same symptoms. The plugin can list authors, categories and posts without problems, but not the descriptions [mctagmap descriptions=”yes”]. The tag list is shown, but the descriptions don’t show up. What am I doing wrong?

    Can you please provide a link to the page you are trying the plugin on and I can take a look.

    Ok, so it turns out that on live server installs, it works as intended 🙂 The test were all on localhosts on different machines, and that could be the explanation for the plugin not working correctly. Sorry for not thinking it through and testing it thoroughly before asking questions. Thank you for the great plugin!

    Interesting. I never had it fail on localhost installs before. Is it at all possible, that using [mctagmap descriptions=”yes”] on your local (being that shortcode would list tags with descriptions by default, that you didn’t have any tags with descriptions?

    Just trying to troubleshoot.

    That was the root of my initial problem. I forgot that only tags with actual posts using them count as tags. So when in my testing I created the tags and their descriptions, but no posts used them, no tags showed up at all. Then I created a post with tags to actually use the tags, but the descriptions did not show up. It could also be that some other tag-related plugin messed up. On the server install I only used your plugin.

    hmmm interesting, you can use the show_empty=”yes” to force it to show tags with no posts but I’ll have ot look into seeing if I can replicate.
