As the title says I am very new to all of this and I’m having some beginner problems. I just purchased a domain name and I am now trying to use wordpress. The gentleman on the phone said I should use linex rather than Windows but I don’t know how to change it to linux or even know how to run the application right now. Thanks for any help you can give me.

To use wordpress you need to have a server and can be host server or install server on your computer since you bought the domain name do have a host account if so check with your host and see if they can put you on linux server

govpatel is correct. You need to have hosting for your WordPress installation along with a domain name. Linux is the operating system of the server that will host your domain. Once you have hosting, many hosting companies provide easy installations of WordPress so check with them as well.

I already have a hosting site and domain name but I am having trouble using wordpress on it. If i were to click on my webpage when using wordpress the page I’ve tried to setup to be shown right when you get to my site seems to be on a submenu. I can’t figure out how to set it on my main page. Any help would be nice. Also, I’d like to make a banner so that the “Just another wordpress site” isn’t showing up. Thanks

    Thank you

Even after going through the tutorials I still don’t understand how to edit my page, IE: Headers, Backgrounds, or how to make a link to show my upcoming events. As I’ve mentioned I am new to all of this and I obviously do not know how to use code either. Is there an easier way of going about this? Thanks
