something.php instead of index.php?

Background: I’m running WordPress 2.0 and K2 Beta Two r157. My blog is currently published to an index.php file; I’m wondering if there is a way to change that to something else (like blog.php) without upsetting my existing permalink structure. Any help would be appreciated!
