Same result: “Something went wrong while optimizing the SEO data of your site. Please try again later.”
@bpc We’re sorry to hear you’re still experiencing the issue and we apologize for the difficulties the plugin is causing for you. We would like some more information to try and help you resolve this:
1. Verify your database has the Table and Index permissions along with Create, Drop, and Alter required to create these tables in your database: wp_yoast_indexable, wp_yoast_indexable_hierarchy, wp_yoast_migrations, wp_yoast_primary_term. If you are not sure, your host provider can help.
2. Can you confirm your server has all the right requirements? If you are not sure, speak to your host provider. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/plugin-requirements/.
3. Are you running a windows server?
4. Are you able to access the server error logs and provide us with the errors that are generated when this occurs? Your host provider can help find them. If so, you can copy/paste the error logs here.

Sorry, this just isn’t worth it. Too many hoops.
@bpc We apologize for the difficulties. If you don’t want to try checking the requirements in case that was the cause, the only other thing we can recommend to perform a conflict check to see whether another plugin or theme is interfering with Yoast SEO plugin which is causing the error.
The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen. Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

I’m fully familiar with how to check for conflicts. I’ve done it many times. That’s not the issue here, and saying that “…we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts” is condescending and unfair. Besides, I’m running my site on an up-to-date DreamHost server with PHP 7.4, etc., so I already know that my host is not an issue.
I’m simply unwilling to treat any WP plug-in as the tail that wags the dog.
Thank you for offering your assistance.
@bpc We apologize if our directions for performing a conflict check came across as condescending, that was certainly not our intent. We can never be sure of a particular user’s level of experience, especially with only a brief interaction. We were only trying to provide helpful instructions on how to perform a conflict check in the event you weren’t familiar with the process.
As for the hosting, it’s common for hosts to offer several versions of PHP on any given server in order to offer the greatest level of compatibility between various applications. We weren’t inferring that there was a problem with your hosting, but rather we are trying to ascertain whether the environmental variables and permissions on the server/site/database were causing the error you received.
We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
Same here ! Problem is not resolved
I have no idea what you guys are doing all the time, but Yoast got worst every update with too much bloat, sneaky options that are on like semrush, nobody had ask for that. Seo optim that is not working. Horrible
