Something weird is happening with .htaccess

  • So, I downloaded and installed a new theme for a site I’m building…

    http://www.rowlands.com.au

The site is completely messed – won’t load anything. Says, “Internal Server Error”

The server support told me it has something to do with somehow there’s being code added to the .htaccess permalinks, but it’s not adding it correctly so it’s breaking the site? What’s weird is that it sometimes works, but most of the time doesn’t

    Ideas?

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Thanks let me try that!
