Something failed with the key

When I try to add the private token, I get the following error message:

Something failed with the key: A very unexpected error with the API call to check the key happened: WP_Error Object ( [errors] => Array ( [http_request_failed] => Array ( [0] => cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 30001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received ) ) [error_data] => Array ( ) [additional_data:protected] => Array ( ) )

I have gotten the error message with my dev site and my production site. Any help would be appreciated.
