# Some Users Can't Access Wp-Admin

 * It happened very suddenly, and I’m not aware of any updates which were made just
   prior to this happening, but at least one user (me) cannot access wp-admin, while
   other users can.
 * I recieve this message:
 * >  Internal Server Error
   > The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable
   > to complete your request.
   > Please contact the server administrator, [cgiadmin@yourhostingaccount.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/some-users-cant-access-wp-admin/cgiadmin@yourhostingaccount.com?output_format=md)
   > and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have
   > done that may have caused the error.
   > More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
   > Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying
   > to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
 * I’ve tried the following: 1) reset the .htaccess file 2) disable all plugins 
   and reactivate one-by-one 3) disabling themes, none of which have resolved the
   problem.
 * I’m at a loss, so any help gratefully appreciated.

 * Have you looked at the server error logs – which will give you some more info
   about what’s causing that error?
 * (Ask your hosting company how to access those if you don’t know.)

 * Could be permission issue.
    Need to check logs as suggested by WPyogi.

 * Thanks for your help. The issue is now resolved.
 * I used the WP debug and it threw out an error message. I sent it to the web host.
   I’ll post their response here in case it helps anyone.
 * ERROR MESSAGE:
 * > Notice: bbp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly. The current user is 
   > being initialized without using $wp->init(). Please see Debugging in WordPress
   > for more information. (This message was added in version 2.3.) in /hermes/bosnaweb08a/
   > b754/ipg.[username]/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3245
 * RESPONSE:
 * > Please take the backup of the website and database tables and re-install the
   > latest version of the WordPress. The message “initialized without using $wp-
   > >init()” comes if the app is running outdated wp files/plugins etc.
 * I resolved it by getting another admin to create a new user account for me. I
   went in deleted my old account and then recreated it. Also took the time to remove
   unused plugins and themes. Problem solved.
