    Hello,

First of all, I wanted to say that this plugin is extremely complete, good, works well and I am very impressed.

However, I am building a website in French and I noticed that some translations are missing.
Prior to post on this forum, I tried to switch to another theme to see if the problem was with the theme I had chosen but it wasn’t – the translations were still missing.

The translations missing include “item”, “Shipping costs will be calculated once you have provided your address.” and “If you have shopped with us before, please enter your details in the boxes below. If you are a new customer, please proceed to the Billing & Shipping section.”. I didn’t find any other missing translations yet.

    Here is the website: http://testeecomm.admireyourworld.com/

Is there a way to correct that ? Can I just add theses sentences/words to translate in the PO and MO file and it will translate it “automatically”?

Thank you in advance for your help! 🙂

    Hello,

Thank you for your fast reply.

I just checked the link you sent me and the sentences that I need seem to be already translated.

    Any other option? 🙂

WP will only download non-fuzzy translations at 100%, so you can either download it manually, or help get it to 100%

    Thank you for your reply!

I was able to download the translations files but I don’t know where to upload them.

I went to plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages and there is only one file woocommerce.pot. I tried to upload the MO and PO file but it didn’t work.

Am I at the right location ? Do I have to create folders?

wp-content/languages/woocommerce. Add the .mo file there.

I found the files to replace in wp-content/languages/plugins/woocommerce.

Even with the downloaded files, it didn’t work. I tried to translate the files by myself (in the file it wasn’t translated but on the link you sent me, it was) and succeeded.

    Everything is fine now.

Thank you for your help and fast replies! 🙂

Hi Swissprice, how did you translate this string?
“If you have shopped with us before, please enter your details in the boxes below. If you are a new customer please proceed to the Billing & Shipping section.”

I have manually translated the .po files, complied .mo files into spanish and then upload to my …theme/theme name/languages, but no changes.

I have searched on forums but to know avail.

    Your help will be appreciated.

    Hi eaglet,

    1. I visited https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce
    2. I clicked on the language I wanted to translate
    3. At the bottom of the page, I clicked on Export. I did it twice: the first to download the .po and the second, to download the .mo. (you can select the file extension)
    4. Uploaded these files to wp-content/languages/plugins/woocommerce

I am not sure but I think I had to rename the files by a certain way such as US-EN.po or something similar. Since I posted this question, I deleted the website for which I needed to translate woocommerce so I cannot tell you exactly how I renames the files.

This page is also very useful to translate small things. Don’t forget to use the HTML symbols codes (ASCII).

    Hope that helps. 🙂

Hi swissprice, thanks for quick reply. I’ve followed your instructions but no solution.

    Hello eganet,

Try to download the .po file on the link I provided and edit it by yourself to make sure that the string is properly translated. Then compile it to .mo and upload it.

Otherwise, I suggest you to open a new thread on WooCommerce support forum. 🙂
