# Some thumbnails not displaying

 * I had the YARPP thumbnails generator run successfully to create thumbnails for
   all my posts. However, some of the posts are missing thumbnails. I don’t know
   how to get all the posts to have their thumbnails display properly. I’ve run 
   the generator twice and still no luck.

 * Did you check that the ones with no thumbnails definitely had WP featured images?
   Ex: [http://www.thefeaturedcreature.com/2011/03/pink-hairy-squat-lobster-need-i-say.html](http://www.thefeaturedcreature.com/2011/03/pink-hairy-squat-lobster-need-i-say.html)(
   which displays in “Related Posts” with a blank thumbnail)
 * I recommend [Auto Post Thumbnail](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/auto-post-thumbnail/)
   if you have many posts with no featured images.

 * I will re-check to make sure a Featured images is set. In the event that there
   are some missing, and I then add featured images, do I have to run the whole 
   generator all over again? Or will it automatically update the missing thumbnails?
 * If I use the Auto Post Thumbnail will that only work with the missing ones (i.
   e. will it replace each image – even the working thumbs now – or just the missing
   thumbs with working ones)?

 * Auto Post Thumbnail will do nothing if there’s already a featured image. And 
   you shouldn’t have to run the generator again if each post has a thumbnail.
