Support » Fixing WordPress » Some themefunctions works in english, not danish?!

  • udgang99

I have recently bought a theme on themeforest. The theme is in english (of course), but I’m danish, so I have installed it on a clean dansih WP.

Now, one of the main features, a “shortcode builder” doesn’t work! It only works if I install it on an english WP.

I have been in contact with the author (he was the one who discovered what the problem is), but he can’t figure out what to do. I have also been in contact with the danish WP-community, and they say they have never heard of this problem before, and told me to try here…

The ONLY difference between the english and dansih versions of WP,is of course the language… in dansih we have three “extra” letters (æ, ø and å)… maybe THEY are the problem?!?

Have anyone ever heard of a problem like this before? And what to do to fix it?!?

You need to review each theme and plugin for language support. This is typically listed with them.

Please post the shortcode with all possible parameters. It could be that the shortcode function expects certain values to be passed in english.

If you can also locate the shortcodes function and paste that. That could really help me.
