    Hi,

Although all of our products have the correct price inside WooCommerce (with the Tax setting set to “Yes I will enter prices inclusive of VAt” and all display options to use prices inclusive of tax), yet the latest products we added show the wrong prices in the catalogue.

We have had this catalogue working fine for more than a year, then out of a sudden today, some products are synced with the price excluding VAT which is wrong.

Any idea what could be causing this?

    Hi @alekosk.

If I understand correctly, the issue is only happening for your newer products, but the older products are syncing correctly, is that right? And do all products have the same tax class (in Product Data > General when editing the product)?

Also, are you using a plugin to change the display price of products? If so, it could be affecting the price the plugin pulls to Facebook. If you can identify the plugin, disable it temporarily then do a Force Resync, it should fix the price discrepancy.

If that still doesn’t help, could you link to us an example of the product that has the discrepancy and we can take a look? Please share screenshots of the price in your WooCommerce store and on Facebook. I recommend https://snipboard.io/ for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL(s) in your reply.

    Hi @drwpcom

Yes all products have the same tax class across our store.
The weird thing is that the prices are now updated on their own, to the correct ones, without us having to do anything.

My only concern would be whether a cache issue could be causing this, however, I am not sure how this is possible as your plugin takes the catalogue directly from the API from this url https://our-domain/?wc-api=wc_facebook_get_feed_data&secret=secret-key

So since this is getting the data directly from the WooCommerce API, I don’t think that any other plugins could affect this.

The other plugin we are using is Aelia’s Tax Displayy Country which shows on the front-end the prices without VAT for non-EU customers. However since this is only front-end and it doesn’t touch the actual product prices, I doubt this is affecting.

    Whats your thoughts?

(p.s.I couldnt share any screenshots as the products have magically fixed themselves on the catalogue :/)

Hi @alekosk. It’s unlikely to be a caching issue. It’s quite strange that first one price was synced and then it fixed itself only for updated products. Did the correct prices remain in Facebook or did they revert to the wrong price at any point?

To help gather information about what might be happening here, please enable debug logging in WooCommerce > Facebook. Then monitor if the prices are incorrectly synced at any point to share the debug log with us so we can try to find out what is happening with the sync for your store.
