    Hello there,

I am using your plugin in a payed version for a long time now and it is great, really.

But when using, I often collect some ideas or have suggestions that could make it even better. Here are some:

    1. Multiselect dropdowns are not really “nice”, as they are not really dropdowns but scrollable fields with the height of normal fields. The way fields are displayed changed drastically in the last months and it seems that some libraries like select2 with tagging option, search through dropdowns, really multiselect dropdowns and all the other powerfull options based on bootstrap are a lot easier to handle for users. Do you plan updating them?

    2. Do you have plans for dedicated rating fields?

    3. Public entries. I know your plugin can output form results via shortcode. But imagine people want to use the form to collect data (of any kind, for example for recipes, games, movies, etc) and want to show them on frontend, for example as a table/datatable, list or grid.
It would be awesome to allow commenting and rating on those entries 🙂

I plan to upgrade my dev to platinum in the next weeks

    4. Is there a way to change the dropdown multi select to a real dropdown ?

    Hello @digiblogger

The plugin uses the standard HTML tags, with their standard properties. It does not includes any other library than jQuery because it is distributed with WordPress. The plugin create DropDown fields using the standard <select> tags, and the multi-select dropdowns uses the same <select> tags but with the attributes: multiple and size

If your website is displaying a vitaminized dropdown control, I recommend you to check the libraries loaded by the theme active on your website or the libraries loaded by third party plugins.

    Concerning to your other questions:

Create a rating control is as simple as insert a radio buttons field with five choices (whose values going from 1 to 5) configured “side by side”, and if you want, you can replace the radio buttons with stars.

Concerning to the display the results as a table, the process is very simple and was responded in another entry of the WordPress support, you can use the [CP_CALCULATED_FIELDS_RESULT_LIST] shortcode to display the complete list of entries, and the datatable library (https://datatables.net/) to format them as a vitaminized table.

    Hello,

    thanks for your quick reply.

For the dropdowns: I understand your decision to code on WP standard. But I don´t really understand what you mean with “check your libraries”, so I started to deactivate and activate everything to see if the field is shown in a better way. it´s not.
Then I checked the demo page of CFF and it shows the dropdown in the same way, like a block if items, and a block of items is not a dropdown. A dropdown is something that opens and allows to select options. What CFF shows is a list of items that can be selected. Is this what “vitaminized” means?

I will check the other parts of your answer one by one. thank you

The multi select is more a choice box, right?

When I hear multi select dropdown, i think of something like this:

    https://semantic-ui.com/modules/dropdown.html

    under Heading “Multi Selection”

    Any plans for repeatable fields?

    Hello @digiblogger

As you can see the page you sent me as reference is for a third party library called “Semantic UI”, if you want to use this library with your form, you can integrate it using “HTML Content” fields. However, we will not to include this library in the official distribution of the plugin, because this decision limits the users’ freedom for using the libraries they want. For example, there are users that would prefer to use jQuery UI, Vaadin, Wired and many others.

    Best regards.

I see. And what about my last question?

    Hello @digiblogger

The inclusion of repeatable fields is in the roadmap of the plugin’s development, but the implications are very complex. Implement them will require more time.

    Best regards.
