Hey, i was setting up the plugin with my website and everything went pretty good.
When trying to purchase a package from my site I’ve encountered an error when trying to register an account and continue to payment” Profile Description is Invalid”
So i went to check the plugin settings and noticed that some pages like the Membership Confirmation page and Membership Account are not working, like they just bring me back to my home page. I’ve tried to delete them and make them again with the shortcode but nothing seems to work, they are not working anymore and i cant pay on my website.
    Any help?

    Hi @misterpeople,

Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro.

The “Profile Description is Invalid” error is usually caused by incorrect merchant API details for PayPal. Please can you check your details to ensure they are correct and for the correct PayPal version/flavor such as PayPal Express, PayPal Payments Pro etc.

Regarding the confirmation and account page not working. Only members are allowed to access these pages, this includes administrators. Please can you ensure your administrator account has an active membership level before trying to access these pages. If the user doesn’t have a level, this would redirect user’s to the page set as the ‘levels’ page inside the Paid Memberships Pro page settings.

I hope this helps clear things up.

I was able to pay with another account so i think the profile description is invaild error is now fixed,

How can i add myself as an admin? i cant see my name on the members tab, probably deleted my membership by mistake

Also, how can someone log in to there account after they purchased a plan? because i found myself with a plan without knowing how to login to my account to check the dashboard and such

I am glad to hear that you were able to fix your payment issue.

You may edit your membership level under the “Edit User” page that WordPress provides for users. When setting up WordPress your initial account (admin email) should be set as an administrator by default. The user role does not affect membership access at all.

Users may login via the WordPress login page which is usually set to wp-admin or wp-login.php by default.

I was able to fix the membership too, the pages now work fine.

I didnt understand what does the wordpress login page means, How can i add a Login page easily?

also i am using WP Affiliate Manager is there anyway to connect the both plugins to work together ?

If you want a front-end login page, you may use a plugin like Theme My Login. By default Paid Memberships Pro uses the default WordPress login functionality.

Here’s an article you may work through for managing affiliates with Paid Memberships Pro – https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/managing-affiliates-with-paid-memberships-pro/

There seems to be an integration fro WP Affiliates Manager from their side, I’d recommend in reaching out to their team to help get you started.

I dont understand how i get a login page, cant find any login page

Paid Memberships Pro doesn’t create a new login page. You would need to login to your site using the default WordPress login method or use a third-party plugin to change this for you.

For example your login link may be something like https://somewebsite.com/wp-admin

I hope this clears things up.

Okay got it, another question i have is if a customer sign up through the package they bought through paid membership pro, does their account details will work on the affiliate login page?
Without using any addons or such.

Yes it should, when a user registers and signs up for a membership level it will create a WordPress user on your site and then assign membership level access to it.

Okay, when i login it iust takes me to the wordpress site and it doesnt redirect me to my website again, any idea why?

Unfortunately not, you may reach out to WordPress.com for further support on this matter.

is there anyway to do that a window opened by unregistered user will show a page says
This page is for registered members only??
I made a dashboard link that directs to the dashboard, and when i click on it with a unregistered user it just sending me back to my website.
