I just downloaded sinple lighbox that generates images in different pixels. For some reason image-optimizer is not reaching those images (in uploads). The size of the images are between 100kb to 250kb where the original images are between 40kib to 90kib.

apparently, that plugin doesn’t like to generate images the proper way (wp_image_editor class). But, you can tell the plugin to scan a particular folder for additional images, and run the Scan & Optimize on the Bulk Optimize page.
