    Hello,

Thank you for your great support. I don’t want to abuse, but I would like to know how can I prevent images and other elements not showing.

I use wordpress multisite where I have 2 sites and respective translations. Each site uses different theme. This is only happening with one of the themes. From time to time (weeks or months) the images are broken (grey backround) and some elments are missing.

I have made a video showing this but I don’t know how can I share it privately. Once I deactive the plugin the problem is solved. If I reinstall the plugin everything will be working fine.

Do you have anything in mind?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ricardo

    Hi,
Obviously one of the features you activated is contributing to the behaviour you’re seeing.
I would try doing some quick tests starting with the firewall rules and then also checking if the copy protection feature might be causing it also.
When you find the feature which is causing this leave it disabled.

    Ok,

Thank you. Next time it happens I will try your suggestion and let you know.

    Cheers,
    Ricardo

    Hello,

Happened again and did what you suggested.

The problem was on Prevent Image Hotlinking!

If posible, could you tell me what could have been wrong?

    Best regards,
    Ricardo

    Hi Ricardo,
Does the issue happen for all of the images on your website or just some images?

The “prevent hotlinking” feature uses .htaccess directives.
You can open your .htaccess file and take a look at those rules to see the code for this feature. (Look for the rules in between the #AIOWPS_PREVENT_IMAGE_HOTLINKS_START and #AIOWPS_PREVENT_IMAGE_HOTLINKS_END tags)

Maybe the reason the images are being blocked is because the referer does not match the value of “HTTP_REFERER” in the .htaccess code?

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply! I don’t have enough knowledge about this. So I will keep it disabled…

    Best regards,
    Ricardo
