 * Hi Steve,
 * I’ve been working increase my website’s mobile performance with the lighthouse
   testing tools. Google has bundled a version of this testing tool in Chrome’s
   developer tools. Although, the downloadable plugin has the latest updates and
   does more extensive testing.

 * I am finding that there are some pictures that are loading ahead of when they’re
   supposed to and it’s delaying my load by 1 second.
 * Here is the runtime environment
    User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64;
   x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.186 Safari/537.36
   Device Emulation Nexus 5X: Enabled Network Throttling 562.5ms RTT, 1.4Mbps down,
   0.7Mbps up: Enabled CPU Throttling 4x slowdown: Enabled
 * With all that emulation and throttling, the offscreen images that are loading
   when they’re not supposed to add up to only 178kb, but that takes 1,010ms.
 * This is important to me because of the upcoming google ranking changes in July.
 * Thanks,
    Derek

 * Hi Derek,
 * Thanks for all the info – i have tested a few sites with the browser extension
   and don’t see that issue. I’d suggest make a look at the images that are loading
   without lazy load – perhaps they are being loaded by a plugin that wraps the
   image in some script – lazy load cannot load images that are wrapped in a script
   tag.
 * Regards
    Steve

 * It was loaded through a shortcode from my theme.
