some divs disappearing as scrolling sideways

    Hello!
    I am using a heavily modified Distinction theme and I am having problems adjusting the site to work correctly.

    The problems shows up when you use a browser window smaller than the width of the site. When doing so and scrolling to the right to see the rest of the page, the header background and the footer get cut. Rest of the page seems to work fine.

    Please help me, I have struggled with this for so long..
