Yesterday, intermittently, I could not login as admin, though I could as user. And when in as admin, before too long I would be bounced out to user status (admin info not available at top of screen).

Today, I could not login as admin at all. (Hosted on Yahoo, whose support rep was not at all helpful.)

Cleared browser cache, then was worse off: “Error establishing a database connection”

Rummaging through Yahoo online resources, I was led to and ran WP repair.

I am relieved that now I can get back in as admin and as user.

However, here is the repair report:

Some database problems could not be repaired. Please copy-and-paste the following list of errors to the WordPress support forums to get additional assistance.

wp_usermeta: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_posts: 4 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_comments: 3 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_options: Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
wp_postmeta: 21 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_terms: 9 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_term_taxonomy: 17 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_term_relationships: 14 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
wp_commentmeta: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly

I would appreciate guidance concerning how to deal with these exceptions.

To the best of my recollection, I did not apply any updates immediately before this problem occurred.

I have several generations of UpdraftPlus backups available in Dropbox.
