  • Hello torakas,
many people have experienced issues in plugin usage with the new version of WordPress.
Could you please share the changes you made to make it work if it’s possible?

    Thank you!

    Hi all,

The changes aren’t that much, but I uploaded the project to Github.

    https://github.com/torakaswp/post-expirator

I try to contact the author, if he doesn’t answer me I have to see what I do next.

The project is too good to be further developed.

thanks for sharing your fixes @torakas 😀

Hey @torakas thanks so much for this!

Is there any chance you could add functionality where I can pick the expiration date and time using the ACF date/time field?

I’ll gladly throw some beer money your way if you can!

    Hi @russclem,

I haven’t worked with ACF in WP yet. Take a look at me. Write me which fields you want to fill and how.

Thanks this was great! If this plugin “Post Expirator” does not continue to be updated, do you have anyone else you can recommend?

I write the WP Plugin Team in the next days and try to adopt the Plugin Project.

I have try to contact the author of the project here in this thread but no anwser.

If the adopt Not possible I try to create a new fork of the “Post Expirator”.

I will try as next the integration with ACF if this is installed.

I write here If there are new informations or a new Version in GitHub.

I will review these in the next couple days and follow up .. thanks for sharing! (Sorry I do not always have time to actively check the forums!)

    Hello @axelseaa,

I can you understand. All of us have real live and not Always time to answer all Messages in the own Plugin Forum. But all 2-3 month a answer. That’s is Not so many and many people think where is the developer of the Plugin.

What so you think about to add extra developer(s) to this Project?

While I certainly see the issue with the Jquery issue, can you explain the other issues you are trying to address with the gutenberg editor @torakas ?

    Hello Aaron!
Nice to see you again on this board!
One question: I have installed the plugin on my website, but it seems that it doesn’t trigger the necessary cron. It works on the staging version but not on the live one.

How can I solve it? I tried many different solution (WP_CRON_ALTERNATE for example) without success. I have also tried to deactivate all the plugins

Do you think you can take a look into it?

Thank you again for your job!
