Support » Fixing WordPress » Some broken category pages

  • Several of my category pages will not display content (ex: http://kristincragg.com/category/christian/). Some category pages (ex: http://kristincragg.com/category/zombie-love/) work fine. For the category pages that don’t work, I can get a menu bar at the top, but no content below (and the menu has a different font). The category page is broken whether I use the dropdown menu, click from a post with that category, or type the link directly.

    I’ve tried:
    updating permalinks
    debugging
    updating themes, plugins, and wordpress
deleting the category and re-adding it

I have the Divi theme installed. What’s throwing me is that some category pages work while others don’t. I’m at a total loss. Thanks for your time!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Something is dying before the page output is finished. If you install the Health Check plugin, you can use Troubleshooting mode to disable plugins and theme for the admin only without affecting site visitors, in order to isolate the cause.

Thank you for your help! I installed and ran the Health Check plug in and found a few issues on my site, which I was able to clean up, but the problem still isn’t solved. The only 2 issues the health check is still showing are:

    * 7.0.29 – For best performance we recommend using PHP 7.2 or higher.
*The optional module, libsodium, is not installer, or has been disabled.

(I can’t use PHP 7.2 as my host doesn’t yet support it.)

    Any other ideas?
    Thanks again!

Hang on, I think it might be the theme. Since it’s a paid theme, I sent a request to their support team to check it out. I’ll get back if they can’t figure it out. Thanks again!
