 * Hi Tobias,
 * Just some thoughts that you might like to review for further enhancements to
   Tablepress.
 * 1. The sort in the main plugin doesn’t treat dates correctly. Probably sorts
   them as just text. It would be good to have a date sensitive sort
    2. When inserting
   a table into a page it woul dbe great to have a Tablepress Block inserter that
   allowed additional functionality:
 * – select the block by name, or id (have a search box)
    – allow some parameters
   to be entered.
 * These parameters could be things like alignment, highlighting, colouring, framing
   and so on that you could then use to generate the necessary CSS.
 * I know you can do that manually but just an aid and for ease.
 * Great product. I will take a look at you additional extensions as I didn’t know
   that you did these.
 * Many Thanks

 * Hi,
 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * 1. This usually depends on the date format. By default, the US-format `mm/dd/
   yyyy` is supported. For e.g. `dd.mm.yyyy`, you could use [https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/](https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/)
   For more complex ones, a trick like [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/date-order-6/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/date-order-6/)
   can be used.
    What format are you using?
 * 2. I’m indeed already planning a block for inserting a TablePress table, with
   WordPress new block editor. However, this will still take time, as I’m currently
   doing research on how to develop this in a good way. I’m not sure how such options
   could look like though, as styling can be a bit tricky, with the theme etc. also
   playing a role.
 * Regards,
    Tobias
