SoloThumbs nad Back- and Forward hovering

I took a look at http://demos.mashitup.de/solo-thumbs/ and it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Everything runs fine, but I’m not able to get a solo thunbs setup and to make the crawling thumbnails follow the mouse in backward and forward direction.
