    After Contact Form 7 failed on me, I moved to WPForms Lite and haven’t looked back. It’s dirt simple to install (my experience on Theme Twenty Seventeen), is regularly updated, speedy and has all the basic features (even not so basic GDPR compliance) for a freeware tool. It even has an upgrade pathway to a more robust version in terms of data collection and styling capabilities. You can’t lose with this one.
