Support » Plugin: Options for Twenty Seventeen » Solid and feature rich – wow – but a bit cluttery

  • EDIT: You fixed this in 2 days. WOW. I am impressed. You just got an upgrade customer!
This addon is solid. It is amazing. Gave it 5 stars. It’s gotten better reviews than the “other” competing plugin.
I’m going to type a lot about one thing that could be improved. The clutter for all the premium options make it a bit harder to operate the free version.
Sorry for the long winded review, and thanks for taking the time to create this.

    Thanks for the review!

OK, so I think what you’re saying is that you want the options to be ordered so the free ones are at the top and the paid for ones are at the bottom on each section. We had organised them so that they are in order as you would find them useful down the theme (paid or not). We’ll have a think as to how to solve this “clutter” 🙂

The problem has arisen because people have asked for so many features over the last year or so!

I appreciate your response! I know how that process goes. I know ya’ll are fantastic in customer service and all that. And working on projects myself I know how things can get after a while and you’ve added a lot of new features, and maybe kinda forget what it’s like for a cold new user to take a gander at everything under the hood.
Good luck! And I’ll probably be back because I didn’t make a child theme and I’m lazy.

There is a “priority” option on customizer controls, we’ll work on a way to prioritise free options when using the free version?

As for a child theme … we specifically designed this plugin so that you don’t have to use a child theme 🙂

We’ve just pushed an update which moves all the “paid for” options below the free ones.

Let me know what you think.

WOW! That looks fantastic! I just reinstalled and everything is so much cleaner now!
Thank you! I am amazed at your service thank you good sir.
And I’m sticking around because I finally got everything on my site so good but no CSS could fix one last nagging thing, and this plug in did. I think I ended up with too much CSS and suspect they may have started conflicting, but at any rate it became unwieldy – and realized that just going with your plugin was far more efficient on my time. With some CSS on the side. Maybe.
I bought the upgrade. I cleaned up my original post too so as to not lead anyone astray.
    Cheers!
