Softaculous auto-upgrades

    The popular Softaculous WP installer includes a puzzling option:

    Auto Upgrade
If checked, this installation will be automatically upgraded to the latest version when a new version is available.

    Which seems weird since WP upgrades itself now. What’s not entirely clear is whether that option just allows WP to upgrade itself (doesn’t block WP auto-upgrade) or if it means Softaculous will attempt to upgrade the install in the future. I’m assuming it’s the latter, and that that could potentially introduce conflicts.

    If it’s the latter, I’d like to disable the option for all of my hosting customers. Does anyone know how?
