    Hi,
Added Social links in mobile header with the default social widget.
Problem is that when clicking on them, they are being opened on the same window and I need them to be opened in a new window.
I would add the html “target black” if I could.

  • Hi @webcart,

By “default social widget“, is it Astra Social Share element?

If you are using the Social Share element, it should open a new tab by default.

    Let us know.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 🙂

    Hi @bsfherman,
Yes, it looks like a social share element which I put in the “off canvas” @mobiles.
You can have a look at this here.
    Remember to check it @mobile.

    Hi @webcart,

I checked the site from the link you provided above and noticed that the Social Icons on the Off Canvas section, it’s not the Astra Social Share element as I mentioned in my previous response.

If the Astra Social Share element is used, the link will be opened on a new tab by default.

    I hope it helps.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 🙂

    Thanks @bsfherman,
Can I use the “Astra Social Share element” you mentioned in the footer Off Canvas section as well?
    What I used there:
Appearance -> Footer Builder -> social icons
Is it wrong? Should not be opened in a new window?

    Hi @webcart,

Yes, you can add Astra Social element on the Footer as well. And yes, it will open on a new tab.

    Hi @bsfherman,
It does not open it in a new window.
That’s the reason I opened this thread.
I added it in the mobile menu and it opens it on the same window.

    Hi @webcart,

I checked your site and when I click on the Social Icons, it opened on a new tab. Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing. You were referring to this, right?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 🙂

    Hi @bsfherman,
No. These icons you marked works well.
The problem is with the icons in the hamburger menu in mobile.
They opened in the same window.

    Hi @webcart,

Because the one in the Hamburger menu, it doesn’t use the Social Element which is coming from Astra. Like the one you have on the Footer. The one I spotted in the screenshot I shared previously.

    I hope it helps.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 🙂

    Hi @bsfherman,
But I used the built-in widget and the ready-made social icons.
So no way to make them opened in a new tab?
I think it should be fixed.
What’s the best solution in your opinion?
    Html widget?

    Hi @webcart,

We can’t fix it as it’s not coming from us. Perhaps ask the Gutenberg plugin author?

The easiest solution I can think of is using Astra Social element. However, if it’s not your option and you know HTML, then the HTML widget should work.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 🙂

    Hi @bsfherman,
Before going to HTML I thought it is a simple solution but no problem to make it with HTML. Thanks.

    Hi @webcart,

I was just wondering what is holding you from using the Astra Social element?
