# Social Sharing

 * Why do I need a facebook developer app ID in order to give participants the option
   to share their result on Facebook?
 * “In the Social Sharing section of the plugin, here’s what’s stated for Facebook
   sharing:
 * Your Facebook App ID:_________________ ([Get one here](https://developers.facebook.com/apps))
 * If you leave it empty, no Facebook share button will be generated.”
 * I’m not an app developer and this requirement makes no sense to me, I just want
   participants to be able to share the quiz on Facebook.
 * Please help.

 * This is how Facebook sharer works, it requires app ID. It’s not something we 
   want to do, we simply have no choice.

 * So how do I set it up? Once I click your link, I then have to choose a platform
   for the app I’m supposedly developing (website, Android app, IOS app…). I just
   don’t understand this process, it’s all about developing an app, which I’m not
   doing. Can you please explain more, so I can get a live app ID and move on from
   this with my quiz.
