Hi. I don’t have the “upgrade” for the Share this Post in Jetpack/Wordpress, but did think that w/o this we still received a certain number of shares per month. Right now, as of early December, I counted down to one (now showing three) left. Will this reset? Or will I no longer have access without upgrading? I’ve tried deactivating/reactivating Jetpack.

This is what my Share this Post reads when I go to publicize:

This post will be shared on all your enabled social media accounts the moment you publish the post.

You have 3 shares remaining. Upgrade now to share more.

    Hi @rissjc16

You can make up to 30 social shares per month for free, but if you share more than 30 times per month, you can upgrade to the new Basic plan. This number does reset every 30 days, so then you’ll have 30 more shares to use.

The first month comes with a huge discount of 90% off so it’s $1, followed by a $10/month subscription (billed yearly).

For an introductory period, the Jetpack Social Basic plan includes unlimited shares. After that, it will include up to 1000 shares per month.

Thanks so much for the reply. I have had a limmited number/countdown to now 3/4 remaining shares since mid or so Decemebr. Will it reset to 30 shares sometime in January? Just curious. Thanks!

    Hi @rissjc16

The remaining shares are always based on your last 30 days of activity. So there isn’t a certain day when you get 30 new shares.

     For example:

    • Jan 10th – 10 shares used (20 remaining)
    • Jan 15th – 10 shares used (10 remaining)
    • Jan 20th – 10 shares used (0 remaining)

On February 10th, those first 10 shares will no longer be in the past 30 days, so you would have 10 shares available again.

    Does that make sense?
