Social Share count is not working or set to 0 after URL change

    That’s indeed to be expected. Social Networks like Facebook or LinkedIn store sharing counts per URL. If your site starts using a new URL, or if you change your permalink structure, Social Networks start counting from zero, since the URLs are now different.

    I’m afraid there isn’t much you can do about it, regardless of the plugin you use to display sharing counts. As long as that plugin retrieves sharing counts from each Social Network’s official API, you’ll get the same sharing counts.

    There are work-arounds to fetch sharing counts from the old links, but these won’t help you gather counts at the new URLs:
