There’s nothing wrong with the configuration of All in One SEO Pack, it’s working fine and displaying the featured image as the Open Graph image as per your settings. This is problem the usual Facebook caching issue that affects everyone.
If there is a specific post you’re having problems with then use the Facebook debug tool to Fetch new scrape information for that post – https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
I just started using Jetpack Publicize and the social meta settings in this plugin – the Facebook postings that display the featured image are not a result of these tools. The two Facebook postings that display the header image on my web site instead of the featured image (Growing Herbs from Cuttings and Growing an Organic Vegetable Garden) were posted using Jetpack Publicize, and the featured image for these posts is obviously not showing.
When I look at my Facebook page, I do not see the featured images for those two posts – I see the header image from my web site. Are you seeing something different on my Facebook page than I am? https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Food-Cop/89764883663?v=wall
Facebook caches information for 7 days so that’s why you’re seeing something different. You have to use their debug tool to ask them to clear their cache. This is a Facebook issue and nothing to do with All in One SEO Pack.
I have been having the same issue BrownEyesTFC. The correct image is appearing on Twitter, but not on Facebook. I’ve talked to support at Jetpack and my Theme developers. The Open Graph tags are missing. When I deactivated All in One SEO Pack, FB Debugger revealed the proper image. Sounds like it might have something to to do with the plugin? Would appreciate another look. Thank you!
Update: The blog post just posted successfully with All in One SEO Pack deactivated. No disrespect, but you may want to take another look at your plugin as I don’t think the issue resides with Facebook. Unfortunately, I’ll need to source out another SEO plugin. Thank you.
I was having a similar issue. I would set the picture for social sharing, but Facebook wouldn’t post the picture. I just installed your latest plugin update, though, and now the issue appears to be resolved. Pictures are publishing again.
Thanks,
Josh
Facebook just updated their documentation with some new guidance on image precaching and we’ve implemented changes in All in One SEO Pack to help users comply with this – https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/best-practices#precaching
