I am building a site for a client in a sub-domain of a site that I use for temporary development.
I had been accessing the site using the following address: joann.bikesandbytes.com/ and, up until the latest Customizr update, it worked perfectly.
After the recent Customizr update from 3.0.13 to 3.0.14, the social media icons do not display immediately in the Header – but they will after I access any page or post etc. (Doesn’t matter which browser I use.) I am using a child stylesheet – and I have thoroughly checked it (including completely removing it), but it does not make a difference.
If I access the site using bikesandbytes/joann/ (ie. NOT calling it via the sub-domain) it works perfectly.
I think perhaps something may have changed between version 3.0.13 and version 3.0.14 that caused this change. When I ultimately migrate the theme/code to the client’s host, there will be not sub-domain and the issue will be moot, but I am curious why it did change between version 3.0.13 and version 3.0.14.
Sorry, change the access to the NON-sub-domain address to: bikesandbytes.com/joann/ – that works better . . .
Hi, it looks fine for me.
There has been a tiny change in 3.0.14 in the way header blocks are rendered but it should not be a problem.
It might have been a browser cache issue, or may be a cache plugin (if you use one?)
Thanks for responding so quickly, Nikeo.
If I access the site using joann.bikesandbytes.com/ the first(3) icon images do not display initially. Btw, the last (4th) icon/image (for Houzz.com)is “forced” in the functions.php file. I tried removing that – but it also made no difference.
If I access the site using bikesandbytes.com/joann all (4) icon images display correctly immediately.
I just tried this on a completely different computer – that had never accessed either of these addresses, but it still did the same thing???
