• I’m a new Customizr user, and am very happy with it.

    I tested it out on a dummy site I own, and everything worked perfectly. Then installed it on my regular website. Everything is good to go except the Social Icons. I added the links to the RSS, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+, Pinterest, and Instagram. The only icons showing are the RSS and Google+. If you hover over the spaces between the RSS and Google+, I see the ALT text – but no icons. Can you advise me as to what the issue might be? Oh, and I have the same issue when I add the social links to the right sidebar. Eydie

    Sorry, I don’t see how I can upload a screenshot.

  • We’ve seen this a few times, so I can almost guarantee that you have a conflicting plugin.

    Try disabling all your plugins then reactivating one-by-one to find the culprit.

    Oh boy – I was afraid someone was going to say that. Well, that’s a chore I’m either going to have to give to my assistant – or wait until I’ve had a decent amount of wine. LOL

    Thanks, Eydie 🙂

    Well, it turned out to be the Font Awesome plugin. Thanks for your help, rdellconsulting.

    It seems to me that I know you from somewhere. LinkedIn? Facebook? I’ll have to look for you.

    Eydie 🙂

    Hi – I hope this thread is still active…
    My http://www.wawilderness.com.au website has the icons missing – and I have deactiviated all the plugins…
    A bit stuck here so would love some help.
    Cheers

    The weird thing is that I can see them in google-chrome but not in firefox.
    By the way, what’s this:

    <style id="option-custom-css" type="text/css">add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'my_google_font' );
    function my_google_font() {
        wp_enqueue_style( $handle = 'my-google-font', $src = 'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Rum+Raisin', $deps = array(), $ver = null, $media = null );
    }</style>

    ?
    Looks like you put php code in the custom css. It’s not the right place! 🙂 You should have put it in your child theme functions.php .

    Thank you – mmm that is weird

    For me it was a plugin conflict. Can’t remember which one anymore, but definitely a plugin.

    SoCalEydie, I had the same problem, I just deactivated it and my FB social icon appeared again. There is no new update for this plugin. Very sad to let go a nice plugin.

    I seem to have the same problem, i.e., no plugins yet I have no social icons showing up on my left hand column. Don’t have any custom code either. http://www.saldanastaxandbookkeepingservice.com/

    I’m expecting to see FB & LinkedIn icons

    Did you add anything in Customiz’it!>Social Links?

    There are checkboxes to select what/where to position them, and boxes to enter the links to your social pages.

    (@rhsaldanagmailcom)

    Yes, I did add info to that area. I’ve got the Social Links in left sidebar checked and url information in Facebook profile url & LinkedIn profile url. If I could figure out how to insert a screen shot here, I’d add it

    Yep, if you don’t put any widget in that left sidebar, social links will not be displayed.

    LOL, ok, yes, adding a widget did get social links out in the sidebar, go figure. Thanks, appreciate your help

    By the way, you don’t need to continue an existing thread to get support on an existing topic. It’s a lot easier to spot you if you do create a new thread, as when you’re posting in an existing thread you’re only visible to those who just happen to be looking in that thread.
