Can’t figure it why the Social Icons block is not loading on my Twenty Twenty Three site:

Here’s the block, the code, and front end page:

    What am doing wrong?

  • You need to enter the address/URL of your social media profile for each icon, otherwise there is nothing to render on the front-end.

For each icon, click the icon and in the text box enter the URL and click the Apply button.

The Social Icons block is not a social media sharing function, it is for you to add links directly to your own social media profiles/pages.

    Thanks for those great heads-up, @uxl 🙂

@ericschwartzman Does this solve the issue or do you need more help? Are you trying to provide links to your own social-media accounts? That’s what this block is meant for, and you’ll find more info on setting it up here.

If you’re looking to automatically add sharing buttons for visitors to share posts on their own social-media accounts, then you’d need a plugin for that.

Yes. This solves the issue. Thank you.

Can you recommend a minimally invasive social sharing plugin?

    Glad that sorts it!

I’d suggest taking a look here for one that has good reviews/ratings, is updated regularly/recently, and has an active support forum.

Marking this thread as resolved but feel free to start a new one if you have other questions!
